The AREA is very proud of our ability to assist students of member school districts in furthering their education. Our past scholarship winners from Rural Communities have excelled as students and great citizens.
There are four different scholarships available this year:
Employee's Child Scholarship Application
This scholarship is for students whose parent or legal guardian is employed by an AREA Member School or Educational CO-OP. This $1000 scholarship is renewable for 4 years. The student must maintain AREA requirements.

Paraprofessional Scholarship Application
This scholarship is for Paraprofessionals who are employed by an AREA member school district. This $1000 scholarship is renewable for 2 years. The Paraprofessional must maintain the AREA requirements.

Vocational Scholarship Application
This scholarship is for students whose school district is a AREA member. This $1000 scholarship is renewable for 2 years. The student must maintain AREA requirements.

This scholarship is for students whose school district is an AREA Member. This $1000 scholarship is renewable for 4 years. The student must maintain AREA requirements.

The scholarship application opens on January 1st and will be accepted until April 8, 2022.
